Final Blog Post

Overall, I had a good experience creating this blog. It made me push my creativity and it gave me a sense of direction about what I want to do. I prefer to create posters instead of videos and audio. I learned so much about the media industry and gained skills I thought I was never going to have. It was an enjoyable experience. I found out that the media industry is based on Adobe. I think that there are so many other platforms from smaller companies that are just as good or even better for editing and creating. The fact that not knowing how to use the Adobe platform can cost you a job is insane to me. Before coming here, I was very comfortable using other platforms to edit. I know that learning new skills is always a plus. I don’t agree that being good at Photoshop makes someone a better communicator or creator.

I really enjoyed that we could create so freely in this course. It really helped me get out of my artist block and finally express all the ideas I had. My favorite piece I created was the Photo Essay I did. I had so much fun creating it with my friends. I am proud of my work. They all took effort, but I love how they turned out. I am grateful about this blogging experience. Without this course I would’ve never created a blog. I don’t think this is going to be my last blog post, as I will do it again in the future.
