Classical Guitar Poster

This assignment was about creating a poster for a classical guitarist. He is performing in a classical guitar duo. Charlie Richardson-Smith and Anne-Lise Vaumoron are going to play together in France. For this poster I had so many ideas. I knew that I wanted to go completely different from the examples our teacher provided. I started to listen to some of his music, my friends and I realize we really like it. I wanted this poster to approach the younger audience he has. France is such a fashion forward country, it inspired me to make the poster a little edgy. My color pallet is based on a picture he has with a blue and red background. I hand drew and colored the guitar on an app called “Sketchbook.” I used Adobe Illustrator to add the text. I am really satisfied about how the poster came out. It is something different from what Mr. Richardson-Smith usually goes for. I think this type of aesthetic does match his music. He is a young musician, so I went with a more modern theme. The picture I used for inspiration I found in Pinterest. The picture is in Sam Sabels Pinterest page. She does not credit anyone, so I believe it was done by her. The poster is eye catching, simple and has amazing, vibrant colors. I am very proud of my work, and I cannot wait to get more opportunities like this.
